  • The Province's capital is Galle.
  • The  official languages are Sinhala and Tamil.

  2. Heen Bovitiya Flower is the flower of Southern Province.  It is endemic to Sri Lanka and can be commonly observed in dry mountainous regions of Sri Lanka.
